Twilight Pandemonium
June 24th, 2010
A long time ago, all the way back in 2007, there was an indie movie called Twilight in which these strange fans showed up to. The movie featured small named actors, along with this little known book series, by this little known author. Yet, it had fans. And then it blew up.
People have been camped out at L.A. Live for four days in order to get a spot along the red carpet. Four. I love Twilight, but holy diehards Batman! (Check out how Summit organized it. Yes! It made a website for fans!) Last year MTV streamed live from the red carpet of New Moon, which was both a success and disaster (because you never know what will happen when you put a guest host in front of a camera and let her plug her song every thirty seconds). This year, for Eclipse, there are at least a half dozen different ways to watch the run carpet…complete with cast interviews. This doesn’t even begin to include the fan sites which are there as press. These are the ones I’m aware of:
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/twilight#!/twilight?v=app_117732794906048
MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/twilight/#pm_cmp_con_ent_ftop_eclipse_stream

People: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20397047,00.html?xid=rss-category-TwilightSaga:Eclipse
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/officialtwilightfilm
As two of the fan sites* who are there are press, will be interview(but not streaming) and will tweet updates:
Kaleb Nation aka Twilight Guy: http://www.twilightguy.com/ | http://www.twitter.com/KalebNation
The TwilightLexicon: http://www.twilightlexicon.com/ | http://www.twitter.com/TwilightLexicon
It’s going to be insanity. I actually have a date with the gym (I fell asleep, should have gone earlier!) so I’ll miss some of it, but it’s no biggie. This is more just so nuts. I mean, before Twilight did media ever livestream, let alone this many? It’s like the world of entertainment is STOPPING for this event! As I’ve been writing this I found out the AP, livestream and ustream are also streaming live, but I’m to lazy to find the links.
So, all I have left to say is WOWZA! And off to the gym I go!
*I’d like to note that these aren’t just silly fan sites you see all over the place. They all personally have met Stephenie (Lori from TL is a good friend of SM and helped her while she wrote Eclipse!) and communicate with Summit.
What’s Goin’ On?

Soooo I saw the finished piece that I filmed.
Blah.
I know directors have a “vision” but if the piece doesn’t flow it kind of ruins the entire thing. See, I’m supposed to be kind of happy that the other chick was getting in trouble, so I’m smirking as she’s confessing. Well, he cut that out so when he flashes back to me I’m kinda smiling and look like I’m breaking character–when I’m not! I showed my mom and she said it was kind of disturbing to watch her daughter get abused, and my dad heard that so he refuses to watch it. I guess that’s a good sign?
In a bit of good news I got contacted by a woman looking for a part-time admin/bookkeeper (oh yes, I am a Quickbooks expert) and can work on a flexible schedule. This would mean I could still fit in auditions…so if I had to be gone for an hour or so it wouldn’t be a big deal. And to make up for only having a part time job, I’d work at the gym. In college I worked the 6-midnight shift to fit in school and it worked out fab. It might be kind of hectic to get used to such a schedule, but I need money. Badly. I’m getting head shots done on the first and that’s $150 (ridiculously good price…Shawn Ray is fantastic), and I need to go to the dentist because I believe I have a cavity. Sad face.
I’m going to something called “Agent Fest” the 2nd week of July where Tampa area agents will be, and hopefully I can make some connections and possibly get signed so I can get decent paying roles. That would be super helpful. Even if they’re small parts or low pay, I need a demo reel before I even attempt to audition out in L.A. I wouldn’t even be able to get a decent agent out there if I didn’t have a good demo reel. This is me trying to think ahead…that’s a big step for me.
Lastly, in case everyone didn’t know, ECLIPSE IN TWELVE DAYS! *INSERT FREAK OUT*
