I learned last week who Justin Beiber was. Do I live in a hole? No. I just don’t listen to ten year olds (okay, he’s sixteen) croon out songs about love. (PLUG: If you haven’t downloaded Spin Magazine’s Top Picks from SXSW 2010, do it NOW and educate your taste in music.)
After watching Justine’s videos on her run in with Justin, I realized why he’s such a novelty…his hair seems to be plastered horizontally on his head. I’m impressed.
I would find that rather annoying…but to each their own.
It feels like the job search has come to a screeching halt. Sending the job I had been waiting to hear back from a sly touch base e-mail. I’m pretending I may go out of town but want to make sure it doesn’t “conflict” with their interview process.
As for deciding to do something with my day (and not sit around in my PJs as I have this past week), I went around the entire greater Clearwater area looking for a Wii/Wii Fit, but they are sold out. Best Buy, Target, Walmart. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Lovely. I’ve decided to do that instead of the gym because the one here is shitty. I have a mini gym in my complex with an elliptical, and I’ll do everything else on Wii Fit. There’s also a place that does pilates per class I can go to if needed.
Another thing I decided to do is sign up to volunteer at the Sunscreen Film Festival (get it? Sundance, sunscreen…Florida, haha funny funny). I haven’t heard back or anything, but I figured it would be cool to see the indies–they’re my new thing–and maybe meet some people. I thought it would be only really small films, mainly local, but they posted the films today. They star Jenna Fischer (The Office), Michael Weatherly (NCIS and is REALLY HOT), Chris O’Donnell, Chloë Sevigny… um COOL!! A bunch of the films were even at Sundance. It’s in April and I really hope I get to go.
Speaking of festivals, South by Southwest is this week. My cousin’s an actor (like a real working actor, haha) and gets to go so he had VIP all access passes and free hotel room for the week. Of course the ticket from Tampa to Austin, TX was like $500, plus the money I would have to spend (I’d need to spend some) it wasn’t feasible to go. I’m super bummed because of course I find out that Ashley Greene, my girl crush, is there. Her indie, Skateland, is being viewed sometime this weekend and she went to the Skateland party tonight. Sigh.
